Engagement Portraits and Pet Photography
It's no secret that I love dogs. With spring just around the corner, I expect a lot of people to be dusting off the ole leash and heading to the park with their furry babies, and hopefully some of them will be giving me a call so they can get some sweet portraits done.
In fact, my ideal client is the one who asks me, "Is it okay if I bring my dog?"
Let me be clear: it is not okay if you don't bring your dog. Yes. Bring the dog. Always.
I'm compelled to share some photos I took in Florida for a past wedding client, Brittany and Kelsey, because they were the embodiment of what I look for in a client. Happy, laid back, and they have a dog. His name is Gator, by the way. And not it's not weird that I always remember their names.
Just recently I had a client ask me if they could bring their dog, Ruby, to their session at Red Rocks just outside of Denver. (That's where I live now, by the way. I'm also booking spring portrait sessions, so get on that.)
"Ruby is a little skittish and shy at first," they said. The moment I met Ruby, I was greeted with licks to the face and paws on my shoulders in a beautiful puppy-hug embrace, which makes perfect sense to me because dogs are my people, man. Yea, that really happened. Look at this beauty!
